Initially we were down on this little gadget because, let us face it, it is not a “looker”. Yes, this works and with the gyroscope going, it is easy to hit your target. I have only used it inside but it has survived a lot of hard “landings” as well as direct hits on the ceiling and walls. The reason this one is so notable is that it shoots missiles through a spring-loaded system. After a few weeks of playing with this iOS device controlled (through an earphone dongle) helicopter, I can say it works as expected. sent us a review unit after we showed their latest preview of their missile-shooting iHelocopter. ( $59.99 Amazon) iCade is a more expensive option. It would have been much better with a pass thru charger and landscape options. It was fun to teach my kid the games I played when I was his age (which is probably why this thing is such a hit). The quality is good and the gaming is certainly nostalgic. This little plastic iPad “dock” (does not work with iPhone 4) adds a joystick to the 100 Atari applications for $15 app (at present no other games support this – but more are planned).

It also does traditional Desktop scanning via USB. Standalone Cloud scanners are the future. Important stuff is run through the scanner and sent to the Cloud before it hits recycling. I use this at the front of my house without a computer where mail comes in.

Sure, they will fill up a medium sized room, but you will find much larger/expensive setups for that. Very simple I/Os and almost perfect desktop-level sound makes these incredibly good for the small room or workspace. In the meantime, we are in love with the standalone LES powered speakers (right). Eye-Fi has long offered photographers the option to transfer high-quality media from standalone cameras to personal computers and mobile devices but required intermediary WiFi hotspot access – a major obstacle for photographers shooting on location outdoors and in remote locales. If other cam start normally using eye-fi then it's obviously not the card but the software utilising it. It sounds like a Sony problem to me.not ey-fi's fault. In either case, in my opinion, Eye-Fi is NOT compatible with the a55 (unless you like slow speed startup).

Not very helpful simply shove the problem on to Sony.

If you want you can contact Sony and ask if they are making a firmware update to help this problem with their camera." Sorry that there is a delay in the start-up process. The A55 is compatible with the Eye-Fi card and being that it is Eye-Fi connected, it has some specialized Sony firmware in it that recognizes the card and runs something during start-up in relation to the Eye-Fi card that isnt normally used with a normal SD card. "Thank you for contacting Eye-Fi Customer Care. Startup times were near instantaneous with a normal sD card. Thanks to help from this forum, I determined this was because I was using an Eye-Fi card. These were 3 seconds and 2 seconds, respectively. I noticed a very significant slowing down of power up and wake from sleep times on my a55.
